Privacy Policy

Definitions
1. The following "Privacy Policy” governs your use and functionality of trading services including buying and selling on notesbytes.com and subdomains.
2. NotesBytes will be referred to as “NotesBytes”, “we” or “us” in this Terms of Services and “you” or “user” will refer to you, the user of the services, agreeing to this document.
3. You may need to refer to the Terms of Service since this is agreed alongside them.

What We Collect
4. We require the following information upon account registration:
--> a. Email Address (as a contact mode);
--> b. Passwords (it is recommended you create a new one, we however encrypt your password when storing);
--> c. Usernames (this does not have to be your legal name, but must not be a name which may cause offence to other users).
5. Sellers will also need to provide the following information, which will be used in payouts, our invoices to you for services, and in the case a legal authority in the United Kingdom asks for it:
--> a. Your full name;
--> b. Your UK bank account details;
--> c. Your address.
6. Sellers may also optionally provide us with their notes as documents, alongside any data in respect to it.
7. We will also collect:
--> a. IP addresses, which will be destroyed, unless it is for security purposes, for instance failed login attempts.

Storage and Sharing
8. All data we collect outlined in points 4, 5, 6 and 7 are stored in servers in London (United Kingdom).
9. Usernames and Account Bios are available for everyone to see. Note data (outlined in point 6) is also public, with a preview available for paid notes unless a person pays for the notes, unless you set the publicity to private.
10. All NotesBytes admins will be able to see all data collected and outlined in points 4, 5, 6 and 7 with the exception for point 4b (passwords).
11. We however require you to share payment card details with Stripe in order to allow us to capture payments. We however do not process or store identifying data from this transaction. You may need to refer to Stripe Privacy Policy.
12. We also share data with Starling Bank Ltd for sellers, in order to process payouts.

Deletion
13. You may email us at [email protected] to get your NotesBytes account deleted.
14. We will however not in any circumstance delete the following data HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) may demand, including:
--> a. Invoice data, including payment amounts
--> b. Your user transaction data
--> c. Seller's bank account, name or address, unless there has not been any sales made.
